Confirming the existence of the strong CP problem in lattice QCD with the gradient flow

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 1H, 1n; calculated electric dipole moment (EDM) and nucleon Schiff moments of proton and neutron induced by the quantum chromodynamics (QCD) term at three different lattice spacings using the gradient flow to define the topological charge and flavors of dynamical quarks corresponding to pion masses of 700, 570, and 410 MeV, and performing an extrapolation to the physical point based on chiral perturbation theory. Discussed CP-violating phase of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix.
