Application of a Thin Organic Scintillator to Study 3α Fragmentation of 12C Nuclei in Interactions with Relativistic Muons and Hadrons

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(μ, 3α), (π+, 3α), (p, 3α), E<70 GeV; measured reaction products, Eα, Iα; deduced the contribution of 3α-fragmentation processes, σ. Comparison with GEANT4 calculations. Muon-enriched and hadron beams of channel 18 of the U-70 accelerator complex in Protvino, Russia.
