Scission Deformation of the ¹²⁰Cd/¹³²Sn Neutronless Fragmentation in ²⁵²Cf

RADIOACTIVITY ²⁵²Cf(SF); measured decay products, Eγ, Iγ. ¹²⁰Cd, ¹³²Sn; deduced total kinetic energy (TKE) versus the mass of the fragment, γ-ray energies in coincidence with the neutronless fission events, fragment energy levels and transitions, deformation parameter using a time-dependent collective Hamiltonian model. Twin Frisch-grid ionization chamber (TFGIC).

Complete neutron-multiplicity distributions in fast-neutron-induced fission

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²³⁹Pu, ²³⁵U(n, F), E=1.3-12 MeV; analyzed experimental neutron counter data from 1969SO16; calculated average neutron multiplicity. Proposed procedure based on Tikhonov regularization to unfold the neutron-multiplicity distributions from the raw data of any neutron counter. Comparison to ENDF/B-VIII data and GEF calculations.
