Author Submission of NSR Keywords

Authors of papers to be published in Physical Review C may, if they wish, submit suggested keyword abstracts to the National Nuclear Data Center (NNDC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory for inclusion in the Nuclear Science References (NSR) database.

Why Keywords?

Keywords inform the reader of the results reported in an article and what the authors have concluded from these results. Keywords are also used to build subject indexes, which allow users to search for articles of interest. Finally, keywords in NSR improve the visibility of your paper.

Accessibility

The NSR database is maintained by the NNDC. Free access to the database is available via the World Wide Web. References retrieved include links to the online edition of Physical Review, where appropriate.

Preparing and sending keywords

Keywords should be submitted via e-mail to:
    nsr@bnl.gov
    Subject: PRC Keyword Abstract

Keywords should be received before the publication of the article in order for the database to be updated in a timely fashion. Include the first author's name and the full title of the paper as it will appear in the journal.

Keywords should be in the form used in NSR. For more information, please refer to following document, available in "DOC" and "PDF" formats:
physrev_keywords.doc
physrev_keywords.pdf

Complimentary information can be found in the NSR for Authors webpage and Nucl. Instr. and Meth. A 640, 213 (2011).

Java Tools

McMaster University Java Swing keywording application is available for sophisticated computer users. Swing operation will require JRE (Java Runtime Environment) installation.
