Radiative lifetime and energy of the low-energy isomeric level in 229Th
RADIOACTIVITY 229mTh(IT); analyzed data for 3/2+ low-energy isomer at 7.8 eV in 229Th; estimated range of the radiative half-life, transition energy, and B(M1) from phenomenological calculations based on available experimental data for level energies and B(M1) rates in 229Th and 233U for transitions between similar Nilsson states. Discussed new measurements to resolve long-standing issues about the decay of 229Th isomer.
