Accurate measurement of the first excited nuclear state in 235U
RADIOACTIVITY 235mU(IT)[from 239Pu(α)]; measured Eγ, Iγ, and precise energy of the first excited state at 76 eV in 235U using superconducting tunnel junction detector with pulsed UV laser calibration. Comparison with previous experimental values. 229mTh(IT); discussed adaptation of experimental approach towards measurement of first excited state at 7.8 eV in 229Th.
