81RB cL Decay schemes of 1973Br32 and 1981FrZY are based on Ritz
81RB2cL combination principle, intensity balances, and coincidence
81RB3cL measurements. The 1980Ho28 scheme is based only on the
81RB4cL Ritz principle and intensity balances. Different authors
81RB5cL propose significantly different decay schemes. The adopted scheme is
81RB6cL essentially that of 1980Ho28 with the addition of levels at 1061 keV
81RB7cL and 1218 keV (proposed in 1981FrZY) and the |g|g-coin data from
81RB8cL 1973Br32 and 1981FrZY. Levels at 497, 819, 866, 1344 and
81RB9cL 1600, proposed in 1973Br32, are not adopted because |g rays deexciting
81RBAcL them are either placed differently or are unobserved by 1980Ho28 or
81RBBcL 1981FrZY.
81RB cL E From a least-squares fit to E|g, omitting 978.66, 1252.82 and
81RB2cL 1554.15 from 1553.7 keV level; 1382.44 from 1381.9 keV level. Without
81RB3cL and with considerations |h{+2}=3.4 and 1.8, respectively, cf.
81RB4cL |h{+2}{-crit}=1.5.
81RB cL E(D) From 1981FrZY decay scheme only; based on |g|g-coin data.
81RB cL J,T From Adopted Levels.
81RB cG E,RI From 1980Ho28, if not noted otherwise. I|g data from 1980Ho28
81RB2cG and 1973Br32 are in reasonable agreement, whereas data from 1981FrZY
81RB3cG frequently disagree significantly with those from 1980Ho28. Fourteen
81RB4cG weaker |g rays (E|g=98 {I1}, 172.0 {I5}, 177.6 {I5}, 237.5
81RB5cG {I10}, 314 {I1}, 319 {I1}, 496.5 {I10}, 517 {I1}, 545.2 {I5}, 586.2
81RB6cG {I10}, 819.2 {I10}, 1034.8 {I8}, 1344 {I1}, 1620 {I2}) reported in
81RB7cG 1973Br32 are absent in the higher resolution and statistically
81RB8cG superior spectra of 1980Ho28 and consequently omitted here; so
81RB9cG is E|g=97.6 {I5} from 1982Th03. E|g=507.0, 516.4, 543.3, 589.1, 975.1?
81RBacG from 1981FrZY are also absent in 1980Ho28; the 507|g is retained here
81RBbcG because it is observable only in coin spectra (unmeasured by
81RBccG 1980Ho28), the others are omitted because they are only tentatively
81RBdcG assigned to {+81}Rb or are presumed by 1981FrZY to be identical to |g
81RBfcG rays from 1973Br32 which are not adopted here.
81RB cG E(A) E|g at least 3|s from a least-squares adjusted value; datum
81RB2cG omitted from least-squares level energy adjustment. |g could be
81RB3cG complex or misplaced.
81RB cG E(D),RI(D)$From 1981FrZY; not reported in 1980Ho28. Observed only in
81RB2cG |g|g coin spectra owing to proximity of strong |g{+|+} peak.
81RB cG E(G) A 487|g placed from a 487 level in 1980Ho28 (as in
81RB2cG (|a,2n|g)) is placed from a 1061 level in 1981FrZY based on observed
81RB3cG coincidence with 421|g and 574|g, both of which deexcite the 574
81RB4cG level. Since several |g rays can be placed feeding a 487 level, and
81RB5cG the 1061 level deexcites to a level absent in (|a,2n|g), the evaluator
81RB6cG retains both 487 and 1061 levels, assuming the 487|g to be a doublet
81RB7cG in {+81}Sr |e decay. The quoted E|g applies to that doublet. Intensity
81RB8cG balance at the 486 level requires I(486|g)|>5.9 {I4} from that level,
81RB9cG whereas I|g(doublet)=7.3 {I5}. Thus, I(486|g) from 486 level could
81RBacG range from 5.5 to 7.8 so the evaluator assigns 6.7 {I11}, leaving 0.6
81RBbcG {I12} for I(486|g) from the 1061 level.
81RB cE The decay scheme is incomplete and the normalization to be
81RB2cE considered as approximate.
81RB cE TI From total transition intensity balance, I|g(1+|a), at each
81RB2cE level.
81RB dG CC$From BrIcc v2.3e (17-Jun-2020) 2008Ki07, "Frozen Orbitals" appr.
81RB N 0.178 22 1.0 1.
81RB cN NR from intensity balances and measured relative I(|g{+|+})=245
81RB2cN I|g(443|g)=24.2 {I18} (1973Br32), assuming theoretical
81RB3cN I|b{++}/I(|e+|b{++}) ratios. The decay scheme is incomplete and the
81RB4cN normalization to be considered as approximate.
81RB dN $NR details: relative intensity balance at 443 level=I(|e+|b{++})=101
81RB2dN {I4} yields I|b{++}=91 {I4} and the ratio is I|b{++}/I(|e+|b{++})=0.90
81RB3dN {I5}. Then NR=[0.90(5)/(245(20)/2)]*24.2(18)=0.178 {I22}. Note that
81RB4dN theoretical I|b{++}/I(|e+|b{++}) ratio varies slightly for different
81RB5dN levels. The ratio 0.90 {I5} at 443 is closely matches the average of
81RB6dN the ratios for the lower five excited states, except the 245 keV level,
81RB7dN where the branching is higher and reasonable.
