81AS c 2022De07: {+81}Ge was obtained at the IGISOL facility of the University
81AS2c of Jyvaskyla exposing {+232}Th target (15 mg/cm{+2}) with proton beam,
81AS3c E=35-MeV. {+81}Ge ions were selected in the first trap (also called
81AS4c purification trap). Only J{+|p}=9/2{++} g.s. of {+81}Ge was observed
81AS5c - confirmed by a tof Ion-Cyclotron-Resonance measurement in a second
81AS6c measurement trap. Direct population of J{+|p}=1/2{++} isomeric state
81AS7c was negligible. Two coaxial detectors GC7020, two EUROGAM-2-like CLOVER
81AS8c detectors, a BEGe2020 detector with a Be entrance window. Measured E|g,
81AS9c I|g, |g-|g coin; deduce level scheme, |b feeding.

81AS c From analysis of {+81}Ga decay and |b|g-coin measurements, it is
81AS2c evident that there are two |b{+-} decaying isomers of {+81}Ge; but, in
81AS3c a multispectrum analysis of mass number 81, 1981Ho24 were unable
81AS4c to differentiate between their half-lives. Hence, 1981Ho24
81AS5c conclude that there exist two isomers of {+81}Ge which possess similar
81AS6c T{-1/2} values. Presumably other authors also report T{-1/2}
81AS8c relevant to a mixture of these isomers.
81AS c 1981Ho24 propose tentative decay schemes for the two isomers,
81AS2c consistent with |g|g and |b|g coin data and supported by arguments
81AS3c based on the large spin differences of the decaying
81AS4c isomers and on analogies with {+83}Se decay. However, J|p based on the
81AS5c resulting log| {Ift} values and observed |g deexcitation patterns
81AS6c are in conflict with L(t,|a) for the 758 and 1613 levels unless
81AS7c separate levels with almost identical energies are assumed to be
81AS8c excited in |b{+-} decay and in (t,|a).
81AS cB From |g gated |b{+-} endpoint measurements, 1981Al20
81AS2cB determine Q(|b) values of 6220 {I130} and 6930 {I280} for g.s. and
81AS3cB isomeric state |b{+-} decay, respectively. These imply E(isomeric
81AS4cB state, {+81}Ge)=710 {I310}.
81AS cB Measured average E|b=1580 {I150} (1990Ru05).
