248CM c 1978Gr10: Gammas were measured with a Ge(Li) detector and two NaI(Tl)
248CM2c detectors were used to detect coincident conversion electrons and
248CM3c Cm X-rays emitted in electron-capture decay.
248CM4c Measured I|e. Deduced Q|e, branching ratio.

248BK cP $Q(|e)= 705 keV {I22} deduced by 1978Gr10 from closed cycle with
248BK2cP Q(|b{+-})=860 {I20} and mass difference ({+248}Cm -{+248}Cf)= 154
248BK3cP {I10}. Using the same approach of the closed cycle, but with values
248BK4cP from 2021Wa16, the evaluator deduced Q(|e)= 735 {I50} from
248BK5cP Q(|b{+-})= 890 {I50} for the 23.7-h {+248}Bk (2021Wa16) and
248BK6cP mass difference ({+248}Cm -{+248}Cf)= 155 {I6} (2021Wa16).

248CM c No |g's were observed in {+248}Bk |e decay. Since Q(|e)=740 for
248CM2c {+248}Bk decay, no known low-spin states other than the g.s. and
248CM3c 43.40-keV level are expected to be populated in the |e decay of
248CM4c low-spin {+248}Bk; nonobservation of any photons is consistent with
248CM5c 23.7-h {+248}Bk being a low spin parent.
248CM cE IE$1978Gr10 deduced intensity of the |e branch to the 43.4-keV
248CM2cE level to be 18 {I2} and 35 {I10} per 100 |e decays from their
248CM3cE measured (L| x ray)(L| x ray) and (K{-|b}| x ray)(L| x ray)
248CM4cE coincidence intensities, respectively. The weighted average of 22 {I5}
248CM5cE per 100 |e decays was suggested by 1978Gr10 for the |e decay intensity
248CMxcE to the 2+ state.
