243BK c {+247}Es-%|a decay: estimated by 1967Mi06 from observed |a yield and
243BK2c calculated total cross section for {+238}U({+14}N,5n)
243BK c 1989Ha27: {+247}Es activity produced in the {+249}Cf(p,3n) reaction
243BK2c with E(p)=18 to 33 MeV and the {+238}U({+15}N,4n) reaction with
243BK3c E({+15}N)=82 to 103 MeV. Reaction products transferred via He jet and
243BK4c collected onto a moving tape or a rotating wheel. Measured E|a, I|a,
243BK5c |a(t) using Si(Au) surface barrier detectors. FHWM=27 to 30 MeV for
243BK6c the 7.275 MeV |a-group of {+211m}Po.
243BK c Others: 1973Es01, 1967Mi06
243BK cA E$From 1989Ha27. The {+212}Po |a peak at 8784 MeV was used for energy
243BK2cA calibration (E|a=8784.86 {I12} is recommended by 1991Ry01).
243BK cA IA$Alpha intensities per 100 |a decays, from 1989Ha27.
243BK cA HF$r{-0}({+243}Bk)=1.493 {I7}, average of r{-0}({+242}Cm)=1.4953 {I9}
243BK2cA and r{-0}({+244}Cf)=1.490 {I13} is used in the calculations.
243BK cA HF$Because of the approximate value of %|a decay, the hindrance
243BK2cA factors should be taken as approximate.
243BK cL E$Calculated from Q(|a)=7462 from 2012Wa38 and the measured E|a's.
243BK cL J$Hindrance factors for |a decay from (7/2+) {+247}Es and the level
243BK2cL spacings imply that these levels are probably members of a rotational
243BK3cL band. From the unhindered character of the |a transition (HF|?2.4)
243BK4cL to the |?18 keV level,
243BK5cL the bandhead member should be the same state as that of the parent.
243BK6cL Systematics of Nilsson states (see, for example, 1972El21)
243BK7cL suggest either the 3/2[521] or the 7/2[633] orbital for {+247}Es
243BK8cL g.s. If the |a decay was to the 3/2[521] orbital, the band parameter
243BK9cL would be 9.4
243BKacL which would not fit the local trend. By assuming a rotational band
243BKbcL built on the 7/2[633] state, the rotational band parameter of 5.7 is
243BKccL consistent with band parameters for 7/2[633] bands in the region.
