231PA c 1999Ch12 (also 1992Ch23): measured relative |g-intensities of 52 |g
231PA2c rays, including absolute intensity of 84-keV |g ray.
231PA c 1977Ba72: measured E|g and I|g for 52 |g rays; Ge, Ge(Li) detectors
231PA c 1975Ho14: measured E|g, I|g, |g|g-coin, x rays, ce, level half-lives
231PA2c by |g(ce)(t), E|b, (217.9|g)(102.3|g)(|q) using Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl)
231PA3c detectors for |g and x rays. The conversion electrons were detected
231PA4c using Aarhus six-gap |b-ray spectrometer, and with a Si(Li) detector
231PA5c in a zero-dispersion magnetic |b-ray spectrometer. The |b spectrum was
231PA6c measured using the Swierk zero-dispersion |b-ray spectrometer. Total of
231PA7c 45 |g rays were reported. Conversion coefficients were measured for 14
231PA8c |g rays up to 301 keV. Authors give absolute (per 100 decays of the
231PA9c parent) values for the intensities of |g rays and conversion electrons
231PAAc from the given decay scheme and associated intensity balances, by
231PABc assigning I|b(to g.s. and 9.2 level)=0.022% {I7}
231PA c 1973Br12 (also 1970BrZX, 1969Br12): measured E|g and I|g for 41 |g
231PA2c rays, and |g|g-coin.
231PA c Other measurements for selected |g rays:
231PA c 2017Le03: measured absolute and relative intensities of nine |g rays,
231PA2c and K- and L-x rays by first measuring source activity by |a-counting
231PA3c method. Values compared with those in the DDEP evaluation (2010BeZQ).
231PA4c Corrected relative-intensity data received March 5, 2021 from the
231PA5c first author of 2017Le03 (from M.-C. L~epy as a private communication,
231PA6c as the evaluators enquired about some issues with the published values)

231PA c 1960As02: measured %I|g and ce for 25.6 and 84.2 transitions
231PA c 1957Ju30: measured E|b, I|b
231PA c 1956Ph61: measured E|g of 25.6-keV transition, half-life of
231PA2c {+231}Th decay, production |s in {+232}Th(n,2n),E(n)=14 MeV reaction.
231PA c 1953Fr37: measured E|b, I|b, E|g, I|g.

231PA2c 1951St41, 1951Ja17, 1949Kn09
231PA c Evaluators' note about the decay scheme: spectral information for
231PA2c a few low-energy transitions (9.18, 17.19, 44.08, 53.2 keV) is limited
231PA3c and makes the decay scheme somewhat incomplete in that respect.
231PA cB IB$From |g-ray transition intensity balance, unless stated otherwise.
231PA cG $Measured intensities of x rays (2017Le03), absolute intensities
231PA2cG (per 100 decays of {+231}Th) are
231PA2cG determined from %I|g=0.576 {I7}, for the 185.72-keV transition in
231PA4cG {+235}U decay:
231PA cG $Pa L{-l} x-rays: 1.663 {I38} (absolute).
231PA cG $Pa L{-|a} x-rays: 29.4 {I6} (absolute).

231PA cG $Pa K{-|b'1} x-ray (108.36|g in priv comm): 0.116 {I6} (absolute).
231PA cG $Experimental Pa K| x ray intensities: 0.38 {I3} (K|a{-2}| x ray),
231PA2cG 0.64 {I4} (K|a{-1}| x ray), and 0.23 {I2} (K|b| x ray) (weighted
231PA3cG averages of values from 1999Ch12 and 1973Br12) compare with 0.36 {I4}
231PA4cG (K|a{-2}| x ray), 0.58 {I7} (K|a{-1}| x ray), and 0.28 {I4} (K|b| x
231PA5cG ray), respectively, calculated by evaluators (using the computer
231PA6cG code RADLST) from |g-ray intensities and K-conversion coefficients
231PA7cG presented here, and using a K-fluorescence yield of 0.970 {I4}
231PA8cG (1996Sc06). This agreement shows that most |g rays with energies
231PA9cG greater than 112.6 keV (the K-binding energy in Pa) have accurate
231PAacG intensities and correct multipolarities.
231PA cG $The |g|g-coin information is from 1973Br12
231PA cG $Q(|b{+-})=391.5 {I15} (2021Wa16) compares with a
231PA2cG total average radiation energy of 377 keV, calculated by evaluators
231PA3cG using the computer program RADLST, and separately adding the
231PA4cG contribution (17 keV) from low-energy strongly converted |g-ray
231PA5cG transitions of 9.2-, 10.2-, 17.2-, 18.0-, and 19.1 keV. These results
231PA6cG support the consistency and completeness of the decay scheme.
231PA cG $Experimental conversion coefficients are from ce data in 1975Ho14,
231PA2cG with values listed in Table 2, adjusted by evaluators for revised
231PA3cG |a(L3)(theory)(for 58.6|g)=47.0 instead of 50.9 in 1975Ho14 and
231PA4cG for revised adopted %I|g values. For the 25.6 and 84.2 transitions,
231PA5cG ce data from 1960As02 and other authors are also listed
231PA cG E(H)$From 1975Ho14
231PA cG E(B)$From 1979Bo30 (curved crystal spectrometer), systematic

231PA3cG 1977Ba72 are not used in averaging as there are large differences
231PA4cG between their values and several other consistent data in the
231PA5cG references which have been used in the averaging procedure.

231PA3cG Evaluators have adjusted the conversion coefficients listed in
231PA4cG 1975Ho14 using |a(L3)(theory)=47.0 (from BrIcc code) and adopted

231PA cG $1973Br12 discussed a possible 19.1-keV transition from 77.7 level
231PA2cG to the 58.6 level, based on a reported electron line observed by
231PA3cG 1960Ba57 corresponding to a 19.8-keV |g ray, but no electron intensity
231PA4cG was given in this work. 1973Br12 also mentioned that unassigned
231PA5cG conversion lines in 1961Ho29 (an unpublished work) could be assigned
231PA6cG to M1, O1 and N1 lines of a 19.14-keV transition, and deduced limits
231PA7cG >0.5% if the M1 line was correctly assigned, and >4.5% if O1 was
231PA8cG correctly assigned, and <16% from intensity balance in the decay
231PA9cG scheme. No such internal conversion line was reported by 1975Ho14,
231PAAcG based on which, evaluators have not included this transition in
231PABcG the present decay scheme or the Adopted dataset. In 2013Br04
231PACcG evaluation, a theoretical I(|g+ce)=3.7, relative to I|g(84|g)=100
231PADcG was reported from Coulomb excitation work of 1992De51. As the
231PAEcG branching ratio cited in 1992De51 is highly model dependent,
231PAFcG and as no firm experimental evidence for this transition is
231PAGcG available, evaluators have discarded this transition.
