162RE D NEW DATA SET, PREPARED DECEMBER, 1997 BY CW REICH
162RE c All data are from 1997Da07, unless noted otherwise
162RE c {+166}Ir produced in the {+92}Mo({+78}Kr,p3n) reaction, with
162RE2c E({+78}Kr)=384 MeV. Enriched (>97% {+92}Mo) target of thickness 580
162RE3c |mg/cm{+2}, presumably evaporated onto a 700 |mg/cm{+2} Al backing.
162RE3c The recoil nuclei were separated according to their mass-to-charge
162RE4c ratio in the Fragment Mass Analyzer at the ATLAS accelerator facility.
162RE5c After passing through a thin position-sensitive parallel-grid avalanche
162RE6c counter, located at the focal plane of the analyzer, the recoils were
162RE7c implanted into a double-sided silicon-strip detector. Both position
162RE8c and time correlations between the recoils and their decay products
162RE9c were measured, as well as energies and intensities of their emitted
162REKc radiations. Results include T{-1/2}, E(p), %p, E|a, %|a.
162RE cA HF$The nuclear radius parameter r{-0}({+162}Re)=1.5562 {I69}
162RE2cA is deduced from interpolation (or unweighted average) of radius
162RE3cA parameters of the adjacent even-even nuclides.

166IR DP J PROTON EMISSION TO THE 165OS GS (JPI=(7/2-)) IS DEDUCED BY
166IR2DP 1997Da07 TO BE L=2 FROM COMPARISON OF MEASURED AND CALCULATED PARTIAL
166IR3DP LIFETIMES FOR PROTON EMISSION, INDICATING THAT THE PROTON IN 166IR
166IR4DP IS IN A |p d{-3/2} ORBITAL. THE ^Nordheim "STRONG RULE" INDICATES
166IR5DP THAT JPI=2- IS THE LOWEST IN ENERGY AMONG THE VARIOUS COUPLINGS OF
166IR6DP THIS ORBITAL TO THAT OF THE ODD NEUTRON (|n f{-7/2}).
