162DY 162HO EC DECAY (15.0 M) 24NDS 202403
162DY H TYP=FUL$AUT=N. NICA$CIT=NDS 195, 1 (2024)$CUT=19-Sep-2023$
162DY D DATA SET UPDATED (FEBRUARY, 2005) TO INCLUDE NEW Q+ VALUE, (MARCH,
162DY2D 2005) AND NEW DATA FROM 1999Za15 AND (MAY, 2006) TO INCLUDE RI
162DY3D VALUE FOR THE 392.485G FROM (N,G).
162DY c Data for the 15-min decay itself are from 1975Ed02 and 1973Ba21. Since
162DY2c this {+162}Ho state is fed from the decay of the 67-min {+162}Ho
162DY3c isomer, these |g's also occur in the spectrum of that isomer. The
162DY4c results of 1971Wo09 and 1999Za15 from studies of this isomer have also
162DY5c been used.
162DY c 1999Za15: {+162}Ho produced using the {+159}Tb(|a,n) reaction. Both
162DY2c activities were present in the sources. |g's detected using a Clover
162DY3c detector and a 70% Ge detector. Measured |g|g. Emphasis was on the
162DY4c 67-min activity, but new information was gained on this 15-min
162DY5c activity. Authors discuss nature of the first excited 0+ band. Other
162DY6c reports from this same group are given in 2000Za03 and 1998LiZR.
162DY c 1979Mi17: ft values calculated.
162DY c 1975Ed02: {+162}Ho (15 min and 67 min) produced using the {+162}Dy(p,n)
162DY2c reaction on an enriched (97%) target and the {+159}Tb(|a,n) reaction.
162DY3c |g's measured using Ge and Si(Li) detectors and ce with a lens
162DY4c spectrometer. Measured |gce coincidences. Only portions of their data
162DY5c were reported.
162DY c 1973Ba21: {+162}Ho (15 min and 67 min) produced using the {+162}Dy(p,n)
162DY2c reaction on an enriched (95%) target. |g's measured using Ge detectors.
162DY c 1969Ak01: {+162}Ho (15 min and 67 min) produced in {+162}Dy(p,n). |g's
162DY2c measured using a NaI detector, |b{++} with scintillator, and |g|b+
162DY3c coincidences. E(|b{++}) reported.
162DY c 1961Jo10: {+162}Ho (67 min) produced in {+159}Tb(|a,n). Some samples
162DY2c were isotope separated. {+162}Ho (15 min) separated from the 67-min
162DY3c isomer by a recoil method and |g's measured. |g singles and |g|g
162DY4c coincidences measured using NaI(Tl) detectors. ce, |b{++}, and ce|g
162DY5c coincidences measured using a magnetic spectrometer. E(|b{++})
162DYxc reported.
162DY c Other: 1979Mi17
162DY cE IB Total |b{++} intensity deduced from I(511) is 4.0%
162DY2cE (1973Ba21) and 5% (1961Jo10), or as large as 8% from |b{++} spectral
162DY3cE measurements (1961Jo10). From calculated capture/|b{++} ratios, these
162DY4cE |b{++} transitions will feed only the 0- and 80-keV levels.
162DY cE TI 1961Jo10 deduce that the |e+|b{++} intensity to 80-keV level
162DY2cE is greater than that to the g.s. by a factor of |?1.3. See, also,
162DY3cE 1973Ba21. The I|g then require that |?94% of the |e+|b{++} decays
162DY4cE feed these levels, with 42% feeding the ground state. The
162DY5cE |g-intensity balances determine the values for the remaining excited
162DY6cE states.
162DY cE E(R)$For the |?2170 and |?2090 values given in comments:
162DY2cE from E|b+=1150 keV, which is the average of E|b+=1100
162DY2cE (1961Jo10) and 1200 {I50} (1969Ak01), and the assumption that this
162DY4cE value represents an average of equally intense branches to the g.s.
162DY5cE and the 80-keV level. |g|b+ and 511-|g coincidences are seen in
162DY6cE coincidence with the 80-keV |g only (1961Jo10,1969Ak01).
