161HO c Decay scheme is primarily from 1972Ka37 and 1972Wo08 and levels are
161HO2c as proposed by both authors, except where noted otherwise. Other
161HO3c major ce studies are 1972Ha41 and 1979DzZZ. Others: 1965St08,
161HO4c 1965Gr35, 1961Gr25, 1961Gr04, 1961Bj02, 1961Ab04, 1960Dn02, and
161HO5c 1959Ha09.
161HO c Since 2000, several abstracts, all from the same laboratory and
161HO2c describing further studies of the {+161}Er decay scheme, have
161HO3c appeared. However, they are generally not detailed and have as yet
161HO4c not been published. The evaluator has not incorporated most of this
161HO5c information into this data file.
161HO c There are 39 |g's that are multiply placed and many levels that
161HO2c involve mostly |g's that are multiply placed. This limits the
161HO3c quantitative accuracy of many parameters of the level scheme.
161HO c 2000KoZT: measured more precise E|g values for the 74.6 and 76.2 |g's
161HO2c using an electrostatic spectrometer.
161HO c 2002AdZX (Conference Abstract): describes a study of the {+161}Er
161HO2c decay scheme using HPGe detectors and a mini-orange detector to
161HO3c measure |g radiation and conversion electrons. Report 265 |g rays in
161HO4c the {+161}Er decay. Report new levels at 725.3, 989.7, 1035.9 and
161HO5c 1477.4 keV and propose |g-vibrational (presumably of K-2 type)
161HO6c bandheads at 592.8, 958.1, and 1100.8 keV (based, respectively, on
161HO7c 7/2[523], 7/2[404] (labelled as 7/2[402] in 2002AdZX) and 5/2[402])
161HO8c and a |b-vibrational bandhead based on 7/2[523] at 1129.0. In the
161HO9c absence of most of the details regarding this information, the
161HOac evaluator has chosen not to include it in this evaluation.
161HO c 2007VaZX searched for three-quasiparticle states of the form (|n
161HO2c 3/2[521],|n 5/2[523],|p7/2[523]) in the region centered around 1.5
161HO3c MeV excited via allowed-unhindered (au) |b decay from {+161}Er
161HO4c through conversion-electron studies of the high-energy |g radiation
161HO5c from mass-separated {+161}Er sources. No evidence for such au
161HO6c transitions and, hence, for such excitations, was found in this study.
161HO c 2008IbZZ (Conference Abstract): presumably a further analysis of the
161HO2c data of 2002AdZX by one of the authors of that study. Introduce new
161HO3c levels at 693.2, 859.6, 957.97 and 1603 keV. Do not confirm
161HO4c previously reported levels at 710, 1137 and 1325 keV, with the
161HO5c deexciting |g's placed elsewhere in the level scheme. In the absence
161HO6c of the details regarding these conclusions, the evaluator has not
161HO7c included this information in this data set, although the nonconfirmed
161HO8c levels have been shown here as questionable.
161HO c 2008Eg01: report L2 and L3 conversion-electron lines for the 148.16
161HO2c |g by scanning photographic plates exposed to {+161}Er sources using
161HO3c a high-resolution automatic microscope system. Deduce M1 as the
161HO4c dominant multipolarity for this transition.
161HO cE E$Positron spectrum measured by 1965Gr35, who deduced the positron
161HO2cE end-point energy of 820 {I40} keV and from positron to
161HO3cE conversion-electron intensity ratio deduced I(|b{++})=0.035% {I17}.
161HO cE TI$Values are calculated from |g intensity balances. Multiply placed
161HO2cE |g's with undivided I|g are included with their full intensity in
161HO3cE each location. Only values with I(|e+|b{++})|>1.0% below 1 MeV and
161HO4cE 1.5% above 1 MeV are included, since the multiple |g placement and
161HO5cE the incompleteness of the decay scheme make the smaller values of
161HO6cE limited usefulness.
161HO cG $|g|g-coincidence relations shown in the decay scheme are from
161HO2cG 1972Ka37. Other: 1972Wo08.
161HO cG E(R)$The level from which this |g was placed has not been confirmed
161HO2cG by 2008IbZZ, and this |g has been placed elsewhere in the level
161HO3cG scheme by this author.

161HO7cG significantly higher than those of 1972Ka37 and give unrealistic
161HO8cG |a(K)exp values when combined with the adopted I|g values. Therefore,
161HO9cG these values of 1972Ha41 have not been used.
161HO cG MR$From {+161}Ho Adopted Gammas; however, all are from 1972Ha41,
161HO2cG except for the 11-keV |g ray which is from 1996Go06.
