141PR 141ND EC DECAY (62.0 S) 1988CH39,1970AB05 23NDS 202212
141PR H TYP=FUL$AUT=N. NICA$CIT=NDS 187,1 (2023)$CUT=12-Oct-2022$
141PR c Measured: |g (1988Ch39,1970Ab05)
141PR c 1970Ab05: studied the branching of the 62.0 s, 11/2-, 757 keV isomer
141PR2c in {+141}Nd in between the |e and IT decays; observed both
141PR2c the 972|g following {+141}Nd |e decay (62.0 s) from the daughter level
141PR2c 11/2-, 1118 in {+141}Pr, and the 757|g from {+141}Nd IT decay (62.0 s)
141PR2c decay, and determined that I(|g+ce)(972|g)/I(|g+ce)(757|g)=0.00032 {I8}
141PR c 1988Ch39: Re-studied the isomer branching; did not observe the 972|g
141PR2c (which presumably was below their detection limit)
141PR2c but only determined the limit I(|g+ce)(972|g)/I(|g+ce)(757|g)<0.00009.
141PR2c Used the (|a,2n|g) reaction to measure the branching of |g rays
141PR2c depopulating the 11/2-, 1118 level and used the |g-ray branchings from
141PR2c the (n,n'|g) reaction (1984Tr02) for the 9/2-, 2001 and 2383 levels
141PR2c to determine |e feeding limits for these three levels (the most
141PR2c likely to be populated by the |e decay of the isomer).
141PR c The level scheme is from 1988Ch39 and is incomplete showing only
141PR2c the levels and |g rays they included in the |e decay of the 62.0 s
141PR2c isomer. According to 1970Ab05 the identification of 972|g in the insert
141PR2c of Fig. 1 "Gamma-ray spectrum from the decay of {+141m}Nd" justifies
141PR2c the |e direct populalation of the 1118 level in {+141}Pr even though
141PR2c this was not confirmed by 1988Ch39 (presumably becasue of lack of
141PR2c sensitity of their experiment, as suggested by a weaker 757|g
141PR2c relative to 1970Ab05). The 972|g populates the 145 level
141PR2c decayed by the 145|g to {+141}Pr g.s., and also implies the direct
141PR2c decay to the g.s. by the weaker 1118|g branch.
141PR2c For the other two levels considered
141PR2c by 1988Ch39, 2001 and 2383, only weak limits were established
141PR2c and the existence of the respective |e decay branches is questionable.
141PR2c No other |g decays of these levels other than suggested by
141PR2c 1988Ch39 were considered by the evaluator (see the
141PR2c Adopted Levels, Gammas dataset for other possible transitions)
