Assignment: 249Bk(95-MeV 18O), 248Cm(78-MeV 15N), parent of 256Fm (ε daughter of 256Md) (1971Es01).

For calculation of fission barrier as a function of deformation, see 1985Cw01.

For calculations of production cross sections, see 1987Ma45, 1987Ma50.

% ε < 40
%ε<40 was estimated by 1971Es01 by comparing the number of 260Lr α’s observed with the number of 260No SF decay events; 40% was obtained when 260No is assumed to decay by spontaneous fission only. Since 256Fm was also produced in the reaction, the estimate for ε decay is very crude (1971Es01).
