General Comments:

2009Ne03: 229Rn was produced in a spallation U(p,X) reaction using UCx target and 1.4 GeV pulsed proton beam from the CERN’s proton Synchrotron Booster accelerator. The measurements were performed at the double Penning-trap mass spectrometer ISOLTRAP at ISOLDE-CERN facility. The reaction products diffused from the target into a high-efficiency ion source. They were accelerated to 30 keV and separated by a high-resolution mass separator. Penning trap mass measurements were carried out. Off-line studies were also completed to measure β decay events and the 229Rn half life.
