Lifetime measurements in the ground-state band in 104Pd

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 96Zr(12C, 4n)104Pd, E=55 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, level T1/2 by recoil distance Doppler-shift (RDDS) method and differential decay-curve method (DDCM) using 12 HPGe detectors and Cologne coincidence-plunger device at the FN tandem accelerator of the University of Cologne. 104Pd; deduced levels, J, π, T1/2 of levels up to 12+ in the g.s. yrast band, B(E2). Comparison with large-scale shell-model calculations (LSSM) with SR88MHJM interaction, and with available previous experimental values.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 96,98,100,102,104,106Pd; calculated energy(first 4+)/energy(first 2+), B(E2)(first 4+)/B(E2)(first 2+), excitation energies and B(E2) up to 10+ in the g.s. band. 104Pd; calculated Eγ and B(E2) for levels up to 26+ in the g.s. band, occupation numbers for first 8+, 10+ and 12+, and second 10+ levels. Large-scale shell-model calculations (LSSM) with SR88MHJM interaction. Comparison with available experimental data.

Lifetime measurements in 44Ti

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 40Ca(6Li, np)44Ti, E=20 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ(t), half-lives of the first 4+, 6+, 3- and 4- states by Doppler-shift attenuation method (DSAM), recoil distance Doppler-shift (RDDS) technique and the differential decay-curve method (DDCM) using an array of twelve HPGe detectors and Cologne coincidence plunger at the FN tandem accelerator of University of Cologne. 44Ti; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(E1), B(M1), configurations. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with large-scale shell-model calculations using GXPF1A, KB3G, FPD6, and ZBM2M interactions.

Identification of high-spin proton configurations in 136Ba and 137Ba

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 238U(136Xe, 136Ba), E=6.84 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, charged particles, and (charged particles)γ- and γγ-coin using the AGATA array for γ detection and the PRISMA spectrometer for charged particles at PIAVE+ALPI accelerator complex of INFN-LNL-Legnaro. 130Te(9Be, X)136Ba, E=40, 43 MeV; 130Te(11B, X)136Ba/137Ba, E not given; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ) using 11 HPGe detectors and HORUS array of 14 HPGe detectors at the FN Tandem accelerator of University of Cologne. 136,137Ba; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, mixing ratios. Comparison with shell model predictions using GCN50:82, PQM130, realistic SM and SN100PN interactions. Systematics of high-spin levels in 134,135Xe, 136,137Ba, 138,139Ce, 140Nd.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 136,137Ba; calculated levels, J, π, wave functions, neutron occupation numbers using shell model with several interactions. Comparison with experimental data. 134Xe, 136Ba, 138Ce; calculated average neutron occupation numbers of the gdsh model space for observed high-spin states using the GCN50:82 and SN100PN interactions. 134Xe, 136Ba; calculated decomposition of the total angular momentum of selected states.

High-spin structure in the transitional nucleus 131Xe: Competitive neutron and proton alignment in the vicinity of the N=82 shell closure

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(136Xe, X), E=6.84 MeV/nucleon; 238U(136Xe, X), E=7.35 MeV/nucleon; measured projectile-like reaction fragments using PRISMA magnetic spectrometer, Eγ, Iγ, γγ- and (131Xe)γ-coin using AGATA demonstrator array for γ detection at LNL-Legnaro. 124Sn(11B, 3np), E=54 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ and pγ-coin, γγ(θ) using HORUS array at Cologne for γ detection and annular double-sided silicon strip detector (DSSSD) for particles. 131Xe; deduced levels, J, π, high-spin states. Comparison with shell-model calculations using several different interactions; discussed systematics of high-spin states in Z=54 nuclei of 123,125,127,129,131Xe, and N=77 nuclei of 127Sn, 129Te131Xe, 133Ba, 135Ce, 137Nd, 139Sm, 141Gd; compiled experimental total aligned angular momentum versus rotational frequency plots for yrast bands in A=117-132 Xe isotopes.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 131Xe; calculated levels, J, π, contribution of proton and neutron configurations for selected states, proton and neutron occupation numbers in h11/2 orbital, total aligned angular momenta as function of rotational frequency, and B(E2) using shell-model calculations with PQM130, SN100PN, GCN50:82, realistic SM, and SN100-KTH interactions. 129Xe; calculated proton and neutron occupation numbers in h11/2 orbital, total aligned angular momenta as function rotational frequency using shell model. NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(136Xe, X)135Ba/133Xe/132Xe/136Ba, E=6.84 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, (particle)γ-coin using the Advanced GAmma Tracking Array (AGATA) for γ detection and the PRISMA magnetic spectrometer for particle identification at the PIAVE+ALPI accelerator complex of LNL-Legnaro. 130Te(9Be, X)132Xe/133Xe/135Ba/136Ba, E=40 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, off-beam γγ(θ), half-lives of isomers using the HORUS array for γ detection at the FN tandem accelerator of the University of Cologne. 132,133Xe, 135,136Ba; deduced high-spin levels, isomers, J, π, total conversion coefficients, multipolarities, mixing ratios, configurations, B(M2), B(E3). 214Po; deduced mixing ratio for a transition from γγ(θ) measurement. Comparison with previous experimental data, and with large-scale shell model calculations using the SM, GCN50:82, SN100PN and SN100-KTH interactions. Systematics of levels, J, π, transition probabilities and isomers in N=79 isotones of 129Sn, 131Te, 133Xe, 135Ba, 137Ce, 139Nd, 141Sm, 143Gd.

High-spin structures in 132Xe and 133Xe and evidence for isomers along the N=79 isotones

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(136Xe, X)132Xe/133Xe, E=6.84 MeV/nucleon from the PIAVE+ALPI accelerator complex at LNL-Legnaro; 198Pt(136Xe, X)132Xe/133Xe, E=6.25 MeV/nucleon from the LBNL cyclotron facility; 130Te(α, nγ), (α, 2nγ), E=19 MeV from Cologne FN Tandem accelerator; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (particle)γ-coin using Advanced GAmma Tracking Array (AGATA) in a demonstrator configuration, and magnetic spectrometer PRISMA for particle identification, (particle)γ-coin using Gammasphere array and CHICO gas-detector array, γγ(θ) using HORUS array at Cologne. 132,133Xe; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, half-life of a micro-sec isomer in 133Xe with Jπ=(23/2+), multipolarities, mixing ratios. Comparison with shell-model calculations using PQM130 and SN100PN interactions. Systematics of level energies in N=78 and 79 isotones from Z=50 to 64, and even-A A=120-136 Xe isotopes.
