Isomers and high-spin structures in the N=81 isotones 135Xe and 137Ba

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 238U(136Xe, X), E=1 GeV; 208Pb(136Xe, X), E=930 MeV; 198Pt(136Xe, X), E=850 MeV; 130Te(11B, 3np)137Ba, E=54 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin, γγ-coin, (TKEL)γ-coin, half-lives of isomers by γγ(t). Four experiments carried out using 136Xe beam with 208Pb and 238U targets using PRISMA magnetic mass spectrometer and AGATA demonstrator array at Legnaro PIAVE+ALPI accelerator, 136Xe beam with 198Pt target using GAMMASPHERE and CHICO particle detector arrays at LBNL-cyclotron facility, and 11B beam with 130Te target using HORUS array at Cologne FN Tandem accelerator. 135Xe, 137Ba; deduced levels, J, π, isomers, configurations, B(E2). Comparison with shell-model calculations. Systematics of levels and isomers in N=81 nuclides 131Sn, 133Te, 135Xe, 137Ba, 139Ce, 141Nd, 143Sm and 145Gd.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 135Xe, 137Ba; calculated levels, J, π, B(E2) using large-scale shell-model with PQM130 and SN100PN interactions, average proton occupation numbers in each single particle orbit of the gdsh model space. Comparison with experimental data.

High-spin structure of 134Xe

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 198Pt(136Xe, 134Xe), E=850 MeV; 208Pb(136Xe, 134Xe), E=930 MeV; 238U(136Xe, 134Xe), E=1 GeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γ(θ), time-of-flight total kinetic energy loss (TKEL) using Gammasphere and Chico arrays at LBNL cyclotron facility for the 198Pt+136Xe reaction, and PRISMA spectrometer, Dante and AGATA arrays at PIAVE+ALPI accelerator complex for the 208Pb+136Xe and 238U+136Xe reactions. 134Xe; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, configurations. Comparison with shell-model calculations using the jj55 effective interaction.

Spectroscopy of the neutron-rich actinide nucleus 240U following multinucleon-transfer reactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 238U(70Zn, X), E=460 MeV; 238U(136Xe, X), E=1 GeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, (reaction products)γ-, γγ-coin, TKEL spectrum using PRISMA magnetic spectrometer, DANTE particle-detector array, and CLARA, AGATA γ arrays at INFN-LNL Legnaro facility. 240U; deduced levels, J, π, bands, kinetic moment of inertia, staggering in bands for 236,238,240U. Comparison of level structure with predictions of cluster model, macroscopic-microscopic approach, and dynamical coupling model. Comparison of moment of inertia with theoretical predictions using CRHB+LN(NL1) and CRHB+LN(NL3*) calculations.

Coulomb excitation. 26Na; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(M1), configuration. 104Pd; B(E2) for first 2+ used for normalization of data for 26Na. Analysis by coupled channels Coulomb excitation code GOSIA2. Comparison with shell model calculations using USD, USDA and USDB interactions.

Coulomb excitation, GOSIA analysis. 29,30Na; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(M1), intruder admixtures, island of inversion. 104Pd; deduced level, excitation yield; used for normalizing data for 29Na. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with Monte Carlo shell model calculations.
