Evolution of nuclear structure in the neutron-rich 96, 97, 99Nb isotopes: Evidence for shape coexistence in N = 58 99Nb
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 176Yb(36S, X), E=230 MeV; 124Sn(96Zr, X), E=530 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ, fission fragments, (fragment)γ-coin., γγγ-cpin. 96,97,99Nb; deduced levels, J, π, high-spin states, rotational bands, configurations, staggering; calculated levels, J, π, occupation numbers of the spherical orbitals. 99,101,103Nb; calculated staggering values based on the particle-plus-rotor model, signature splitting of the bands, Total-Energy-Surface plots, Routhian diagrams. 98Nb; deduced γ-ray intensities. Comparison to other experimental data and shell model calculations with gl, glekpn and jj45 model space. Systematics of positive-parity yrast energy levels for 94Zr, 96Zr, 98Zr, 96Mo, 98Mo, 100Mo, 97Y, 95Nb, 97Nb, 99Nb, 101Tc, 103Rh. In experiment with 36S beam CLARA array of 22 EUROBALL escape-suppressed HPGe clover detectors with PRISMA magnetic spectrometer were used, while GASP array consisting of 40 escape suppressed HpGe detectors was used for 96Zr. Beams delivered by combined XTU-Tandem Van de Graaff and ALPI accelerators (INFN Legnaro National Laboratory).
