Transition probabilities in neutron-rich 84, 86Se
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 238U(82Se, 84Se), (82Se, 86Se), E=577 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, (84Se)γ- and (86Se)γ-coin, level half-lives by recoil-distance Doppler shift (RDDS) method using Cologne Plunger device, PRISMA magnetic spectrometer and AGATA demonstrator array at INFN-Legnaro accelerator facility. 84,86Se; deduced levels, B(E2) for transitions from first 2+, 4+ and 6+ states. Comparison with large-scale shell model calculations using several different effective interactions.

RADIOACTIVITY 86As(β-)[from 235U(n, F), E=thermal followed by mass separation using Lohengrin separator at ILL-Grenoble]; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eβ, βγ-, γγ-coin, γγ(θ). 86Se; deduced levels, J, π, γ collectivity. Comparison with systematics of neighboring nuclides, and with shell-model calculations. 94,96Y, 99Zr; observed γ rays.
NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 86Se; calculated levels, J, π, B(M1), B(E2) using shell model. 84Ge, 86Se, 88Kr, 90Sr, 92Zr; calculated energies of second 2+ and 4+, and first 3+ states. Comparison with experimental values.
