Coulomb excitation of 44Ca and 46Ar
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(46Ar, 46Ar'), E=38.5 MeV/nucleon; 208Pb(44Ca, 44Ca'), E=36.8 MeV/nucleon, [46Ar and 44Ca secondary beams from 9Be(48Ca, X), E=60 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured scattered particle spectra using double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSSDs), Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin, (particle)γ(θ) using Chateau de Cristal array of BaF2 detectors for γ rays at LISE/GANIL facility. Coulomb excitation. 44Ca, 46Ar; deduced levels, B(E2) for first 2+ states. Comparison with previous experimental results, and with shell-model calculations using the SDPFU, SDPFMU and SDPFK effective interactions for sd-pf valence space nuclei and NuShellX code. Systematics of experimental and theoretical B(E2) values and phenomenological proton and neutron transition matrix elements for the first 2+ states in 36,38,40,42,44,46,48Ar nuclei.
