In-beam spectroscopic studies of the ⁴⁴S nucleus

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(⁴⁵Cl, ⁴⁴S), [⁴⁵Cl secondary beam from C(⁴⁸Ca, X), E=60 MeV/nucleon primary reaction], E=42 MeV/nucleon; measured energy loss, time of flight, particle spectra, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (⁴⁴S)γ-coin at GANIL. ⁴⁴S; deduced levels, J, π. ⁴⁵Cl; deduced spin and parity of the ground state. One proton knock-out reaction. Comparison with previous measurements, and with shell-model calculations using SDPF-U interaction.
