Core of ²⁵F studied by the ²⁵F(-p) proton-removal reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(²⁵F, ²⁴O), E=77 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products; deduced longitudinal momentum distribution, proton removal σ, spectroscopic factor. Results are interpreted within the framework of the Particle-Vibration Coupling (PVC) model, of a d_5/2 proton coupled to a quadrupole phonon of an effective ²⁴O core. Comparison to shell model predictions. Reaction products analyzed by spectrometer S800 (NSCL). Secondary ²⁵F beam from ⁴⁸Ca fragmentation on Be target at accelerated through the Coupled Cyclotron Facility.
