Lifetimes of two- and four-neutron-hole states in ²⁰⁴Pb and ²⁰⁶Pb

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁹⁷Au(²⁰⁹Bi, X)²⁰⁴Pb/²⁰⁶Pb, E=1450 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies, J, π, isomeric states, T_1/2, multipolarity, B(Eλ). Comparison with available data and with the expected single-particle values, and these states are described well by shell-model calculations using the kshell code with the KHHE interaction. The Gammasphere array at Argonne National Laboratory.
