The wobbling mode in 167Lu

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 123Sb(48Ca, 4n), E=203 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. 167Lu deduced high-spin levels, J, π, δ, triaxial superdeformed bands, wobbling mode. Gammasphere array, cranked mean-field calculations.

Toward complete spectroscopy of 167Lu

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 123Sb(48Ca, 4n), E=203 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO) using Gammasphere array at LBNL cyclotron facility. 167Lu; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, rotational bands, triaxial strongly-deformed (TSD) bands, alignments, dynamic moments of inertia, band crossings, zero- and one-phonon wobbling, and multiquasiparticle excitations, quasiparticle and Nilsson configurations. Comparison with cranked shell model calculations, and with previous experimental results. Calculated quasiparticle Routhians as function of rotational frequency.
