Increasing Octupole Collectivity across the Z=64 Isotopic Chain: B(E3) Values in 150Gd

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 140Ce(13C, 3n), E=62 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies and relative intensities, level T1/2, B(E3). Comparison with fully selfconsistent Quasi-particle Random Phase Approximation (QRPA) calculations employing the Skyrme-type SkX interaction, with the assumption of spherical symmetry, and, in the case of the time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) model, the SkM* Skyrme interaction. The recoil distance Doppler shift method (RDDS), the ROSPHERE array and Tandem accelerator of IFIN-HH in Bucharest.
