Collective and noncollective excitations in ¹²²Te

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁸²Se(⁴⁸Ca, 4nα), E=200 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, 3- and 4-fold γγ coincidences, γγ(θ)(ADO ratios) using Gammasphere array at ATLAS-ANL facility. ¹²²Te; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, bands, configurations, alignments, dynamic moments of inertia; calculated total energy surface contours. Comparison with cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky model calculations. Systematics of band properties in ¹²²Te, ¹²⁵I, ^125,126Xe, ¹³²Ce.

Non-collective states in ¹²²Te

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹⁶Cd(¹¹B, 4np), E=65 MeV; measured in-beam Eγ, Iγ(θ), γγ-coin, γ linear polarization using Compton-suppressed clover detectors of INGA array. ¹²²Te deduced levels, J, π, γ transitions, transition multipolarity, γ-ray asymmetry parameter from polarization; calculated levels, J, π using shell model with SM1, SM2, SM3 interactions.
