Deformation and Collectivity in Doubly Magic 208Pb
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(70Ge, 70Ge'), E=297 MeV; 208Pb(130Te, 130Te'), E=527 MeV; 208Pb(150Nd, 150Nd'), E=640 MeV; 208PB(166Er, 166Er'), E=749 MeV; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies, B(E2), transitional and diagonal matrix elements, spectroscopic quadrupole moments, large, negative, spectroscopic quadrupole moment. Comparison with HF+RPA calculations using the Skyrme-type SkM* and SKX functionals, using the SkM* and SKX functionals, symmetry-conserving configuration mixing (SCCM) calculations, and shell-model calculations, as well as the results using the generator coordinate method (GCM) based on a covariant energy density functional by Yao and Hagino.
