Lifetime measurements with improved precision in 30, 32S and possible influence of large-scale clustering on the appearance of strongly deformed states

Systematics of low-lying quadrupole states in 28,30,32,34,36,38S. 32S; discussed electromagnetic E2 transition strengths and quadrupole moment in terms of two doubly magic 16O clusters. 80Zr; discussed superdeformed yrast band in terms of two 40Ca clusters.
