Various collective states in the ¹²⁴I nucleus

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²²Sn(⁷Li, 5n)¹²⁴I, E=54 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO), half-lives of nanosecond isomers by γγ(t) using CAESAR array at the 14UD tandem accelerator of ANU-HIAF. ¹²⁴I; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, bands, K isomer, configurations, alignments; calculated Routhian surface plots. Comparison with structure of ¹²³Te. Systematics of energies and half-lives of 8- and 7- states in ^{116,118,120,122,124}I, and those of level energies in N=58-78, odd-A I and even-even Te and Xe isotopes.
