Triaxiality in the mid-shell nucleus ¹¹²Pd

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹¹⁰Pd(¹⁸O, ¹⁶O)¹¹²Pd, E=56 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin, half-lives of the 2+, 4+ and 6+ g.s. band members and 2+ level in γ band by recoil-distance Doppler shift (RDDS) and DDCM analysis methods using Cologne Plunger device and an array of 11 HPGe detectors at the Cologne FN Tandem accelerator facility. ¹¹²Pd; deduced levels, B(E2). Comparison with IBM-1 model calculations.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ¹¹²Pd; calculated levels, J, π, B(E2) for 2+, 4+, 6+, 8+ and 10+ states of the yrast band and 2+, 3+, 4+, 5+, 6+, 7+ and 8+ states of the γ-band using the Interacting Boson Model (IBM-1), the Davydov Filipov Model and the Wilets-Jean gamma-unstable model (or γ-soft model); deduced rigid triaxial nucleus and indicators for a γ-soft nucleus.
