Large Isospin Asymmetry in 22Si/22O Mirror Gamow-Teller Transitions Reveals the Halo Structure of 22Al

RADIOACTIVITY 22Si(β+p) [from 9Be(28Si, X), E=75.8 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay products, Ep, Ip. 22Al; deduced level energies, J, π, log ft, mirror energy differences (MED) as an asymmetry in excitation energy defined by the differences between the excitation energies of analog states for the mirror nuclei. Comparison with theoretical calculations.
