Evolution from γ-soft to stable triaxiality in 136Nd as a prerequisite of chirality
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 100Mo(40Ar, 4n), E=152 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, recoils, γγ-coin, and γγ(θ)(DCO) using JUROGAM II array for prompt γ detection, RITU separator for recoils, and GREAT detector array for recoil and delayed γ detection at the K130 cyclotron of the University of Jyvaskyla. 136Nd; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarities, bands, dipole bands, configurations, alignments, single-particle and collective excitations, and deformation of bands. Comparison with cranked Nilsson-Strutinski (CNS) calculations.
