Lifetime measurements in ¹⁶⁶Re: Collective versus magnetic rotation

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹²Mo(⁷⁸Kr, n3p), E=380 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, recoil-gated γγ-coin, level half-lives by recoil distance Doppler-shift (RDDS) method and differential decay-curve analysis using JUROGAM-II array for γ detection, RITU separator, and GREAT spectrometer at Jyvaskyla accelerator facility. ¹⁶⁶Re; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, B(M1), B(E2), B(E1), B(M1)/B(E2) configurations, alignments; discussed collective versus magnetic rotation; calculated total Routhian surface plot. Tilted-axis cranking calculations based on a relativistic mean-field approach (TAC-RMF).
