Testing refined shell-model interactions in the sd shell: Coulomb excitation of ²⁶Na

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁰⁴Pd(²⁶Na, ²⁶Na'), E=2.82 MeV/nucleon, [secondary ²⁶Na beam from U(p, X), E=1 GeV primary reaction]; measured Eγ, Iγ, (scattered particle)γ-coin using REX-ISOLDE facility and MINIBALL array at CERN. Coulomb excitation. ²⁶Na; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), B(M1), configuration. ¹⁰⁴Pd; B(E2) for first 2+ used for normalization of data for ²⁶Na. Analysis by coupled channels Coulomb excitation code GOSIA2. Comparison with shell model calculations using USD, USDA and USDB interactions.
