Reduced transition strengths of low-lying yrast states in chromium isotopes in the vicinity of N=40

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(59Mn, 58Cr), E=92.1 MeV/nucleon; 9Be(61Mn, 60Cr), E=91.9 MeV/nucleon; 9Be(63Mn, 62Cr), E=98 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 59,61,63Mn beams from 9Be(82Se, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon primary reaction using A1900 separator at NSCL-MSU]; measured Eγ, Iγ, beam-like recoil particle spectra and yields, (particle)γ-coin, level half-lives by recoil-distance Doppler-shift (RDDS) method using S800 spectrograph and SeGA array. 58,60,62Cr; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2), intrinsic quadrupole moments Q0 and deformation parameter β2. Comparison with calculations using shell-model with LNPS interactions, realistic shell-model, and IBM-2. Systematics of energies and B(E2) for first 2+ states in N=22-52, Ti, Cr, Fe, Ni, Se and Kr nuclei. Systematics of ratios of energies and B(E2) values for first 2+, 4+ and 6+ states in 52,54,56,58,60,62Cr, and E(5) limit.
