Single-neutron excitations in ¹⁸N

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²H(¹⁷N, p), [¹⁷N secondary beam from ⁹Be(¹⁸O, X), E=14.7 MeV/nucleon primary reaction], E=13.6 MeV/nucleon; measured E(p), I(p), σ(θ) using HELIOS spectrometer and array at ATLAS-ANL facility. ¹⁸N; deduced levels, J, π, l-transfer, spectroscopic factors, spectroscopic strengths, configuration. DWBA analysis of σ(θ) data for (d, p) reaction in inverse kinematics. ¹⁷C, ¹⁸N, ¹⁹O; systematics of low-lying states in N=11 isotones, and comparison with shell-model calculations.
