Positive parity states in 208Pb excited by the proton decay of the isobaric analog intruder resonance j15/2 in 209Bi

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(p, p'), E=14.8-18.2 MeV; measured Ep, Ip, σ, excitation functions and σ(θ) via isobaric analog resonances (IAR) in 209Bi. Proton spectra fitted by GASPAN analysis. 209Bi; deduced s.p. width, total width, resonance energy for isobaric analog resonance j15/2. 207Pb(d, p), E=22 MeV; analyzed proton spectra; deduced σ. 208Pb; deduced levels, J, π, l-transfers, particle-hole configurations, spectroscopic factors. Comparison with shell-model calculations.
