Possible assignment of chiral twin bands in 188Ir

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 186W(7Li, 5n), E=52 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. 188Ir deduced high-spin levels, J, π, configurations, B(M1)/B(E2), chiral twin bands. Tilted-axis cranking calculations, level systematics in neighboring isotopes discussed.
