Two-quasiparticle configurations, signature inversion, and the πi_13/2(X)νi_13/2 band in ¹⁷⁶Ir

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴⁹Sm(³¹P, 4n), E=140, 158 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ¹⁷⁶Ir deduced high-spin levels, J, π, configurations, signature inversion. Comparison with neighboring nuclides and with model predictions.
