Mirror and Valence Symmetries at the Centre of the f_7/2 Shell

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁴Mg(²⁸Si, pα), (²⁸Si, nα), (²⁸Si, n2p), (²⁸Si, 2np), E=87 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (particle)γ-coin. ⁴⁷Cr, ⁴⁷V deduced high-spin levels, J, π, band termination. ^47,49Cr, ⁴⁷V, ⁴⁹Mn deduced Coulomb energy differences, deformation spin dependence. Shell model, liquid drop model calculations.
