Shape evolution in neutron-rich Rh isotopes: First measurement of negative-parity isomers in 117, 119Rh

RADIOACTIVITY 117,119Ru(β-), 117,119Rh(IT) [from 9Be(238U, X)117Ru/119Ru, E=345 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay products, Eγ, Iγ; deduced γ-ray energies J, π, tentatie level scheme, T1/2, the crucial role of triaxial deformation, particularly in the positive-parity states, in driving the observed evolution of energy differences. Com parison with self-consistent triaxial relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (TRHB) calculations. The Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory (RIBF) facility at RIKEN in the framework of the Euroball RIken Cluster Array (EURICA) project.
