First Observation of 22 Exotic Isotopes Using a ²⁰⁸Pb Primary Beam at the RI Beam Factory

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(²⁰⁸Pb, X)¹³⁸Ce/¹²⁰Pr/¹⁷⁹Ho/¹⁸¹Er/¹⁸²Er/¹⁸⁴Tm/¹⁸⁵Tm/¹⁸⁶Tm/¹⁸⁸Yb/¹⁸⁹Yb/¹⁹¹Lu/¹⁵²Hf/¹⁵³Hf/¹⁹³Hf/¹⁹⁴Hf/¹⁵⁴Ta/¹⁹⁵Ta/¹⁹⁶Ta/¹⁹⁸W/¹⁹⁹W/²⁰⁰Re/²⁰¹Re, E=345 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, TOF; deduced 22 new isotopes, the production yields and σ for the measured isotopes, including the newly discovered isotopes, are being prepared for a future publication. The BigRIPS in-flight separator and state-of-the-art radiation detectors at the RIKEN Nishina Center and the Center for Nuclear Study, The University of Tokyo.
