Abrupt structural transition in exotic molybdenum isotopes unveils an isospin-symmetric island of inversion
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(86Mo, 84Mo), E=103 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ. 84,86Mo; deduced γ-ray energies, level T1/2, B(E2) systematics. Comparison with quasi/pseudo-SU(3) estimates (QPSU3) and Projected Hartree-Fock solutions (PHF) for different np-nh configurations, DNO shell-model calculations (DNO-SM), shell-model diagonalization (SM), and experimental values.
