First Exploration of Monopole-Driven Shell Evolution above the N=126 Shell Closure: New Millisecond Isomers in 213Tl and 215Tl

RADIOACTIVITY 213,215Tl(β-), (IT) [from 9Be(238U, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon]; measured decay products, Eβ, Iβ, Eγ, Iγ; deduced level energies, J, π, T1/2, isomeric decay scheme, conversion electrons or Meitner-Ellis electrons, the first experimental observation of shell evolution in the almost unexplored N>126 nuclear region. Comparison with calculations. The RIBF facility, RIKEN Nishina Center.
