Electron-capture decay rate of ⁷Be in cluster and crystal forms of beryllium: A first-principles study

RADIOACTIVITY ⁷Be(EC); calculated dependence of the T_1/2 of EC-decay from electron density. First-principle calculations performed using DMol³. Concluded that half-life of ⁷Be can be further shortened at higher temperatures due to change in morphology.
