Remeasuring the anomalously enhanced B(E2;2+ → 1+) in 8Li

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 197Au(8Li, 8Li), E=22.7 MeV; measured reaction products, charged particles, Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin. 8Li; deduced B(E2) for transition between excited state 1+ and ground state 2+ in Coulomb excitation experiment. Systematics of experimental ground state E2 moments and transition strengths to the first excited rotational band member for 7Li, 8Li, 7Be, 9Be, 8B. 10 cylindrical LaBr3 detectors from the HAGRiD array combined with thick S7 annular Si detector. Secondary beam produced from 9Be(7Li, X), E=26 MeV and purified with TwinSol superconducting solenoid magnets at 10 MV Tandem Van De Graaff (University of Notre Dame Nuclear Science Laboratory).
