First measurement of the low-energy direct capture in 20Ne(p, γ)21Na and improved energy and strength of the Ec.m = 368 keV resonance
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 20Ne(p, γ)21Na, E(cm)=366-380 keV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ(θ); deduced astrophysical S-factor, resonance at 368-keV c.m. energy, branching ratio from the resonance, resonance strength, thermonuclear reaction rate (T=0.5-10 GK), branching ratios. Relevance to oxygen-neon (ONe) novae simulations. Windowless neon gas target with two HPGe detectors at LUNA 400-kV accelerator (Laboratory for Underground Nuclear Astrophysics, Gran Sasso National Laboratories).
