Spectroscopy of weakly deformed bands in 87Zr: First observation of the shears mechanism in a Zr isotope
NUCLEAR REACTIONS 60Ni(31P, n3p), E=112.5 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γγ(θ)(DCO ratio), level half-lives by DSA and line-shape analysis using the INGA array at BARC-TIFR Pelletron LINAC facility. 87Zr; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, γ-ray branching ratios, bands, magnetic-dipole (shears) band, multipolarities, mixing ratios, B(M1), B(E2). Systematics of level energies of similar negative-parity bands in 87Zr, 85Sr, 89Mo. Comparison with theoretical predictions.
